“Looking at technology from a pastor’s perspective.”
What it’s just past the middle of the week and here’s what making news!
Earlier this week, Microsoft softened its stance on Windows XP no more. That’s right they’re planning on supporting it until 2014. By that time Windows 7 will have made its mark on the world- well hopefully. Windows XP users can take a deep breathe and let it out.
Google is working their magic again and this time iGoogle is getting a new look. In this makeover, you’ll get left navigation, Canvas view gadgets, Chat on iGoogle, and maybe some more. All in all, these make iGoogle a great home page. What? you haven’t heard of it? Give it a try, you can even download you’re settings and move them to another computer.
Blub-blub! blub-blub! Yep... the PDA-making, happy-to-keep-the-same-treo-design-and-operating-system company, called Palm Palmone Palm is sinking even more faster these days. According to Marketwatch, Palm’s sales continue to decline. Any Palm uses out there? You’d better get a spare device. It doesn’t look good at all. You’d do better getting an iPhone or iPod touch and this software.
And lastly, that buzzing you get when your iPhone (or insert your buzz causing GSM phone here) can be stopped if you try one of these tips. The first tip is a rather large shield, but decorative. It really looks weird especially having it sit on your desk. The second is a bit more subtle, but more costly than the first. I’m trying this one out on my work phone tomorrow.
My Tech news highlights.
