Go uBuntu.

 

I am not a huge Linux fan, but I do like it and have it installed on my Macbook via VMware. It’s fun trying it out and I am interested in getting a Eee PC which has Linux on it. Well, uBuntu Hardy Heron has been released recently and Lifehacker has highlighted many of the newest and latest features. It’s a definite improvement over previous versions of ubuntu. Linux is gradually improving and with the Eee PC could begin to make a significant mark in the personal computer space.


I think Hardy Heron would make a great operating system for a student, missionary, etc. It’s free, not virus plagued like Windows, lots of free software available, and it’s rather stable for the most part. It’s a low cost solution to having a high tech operating system.
